Buntal village, 27km away from Kuching, is a fishing village located in the district of Kuching and close to Mount Santubong and the Sarawak Cultural Village. According to history, the village settlements swelled opened about 300 years ago by the Datuk Tanggal. The name of this village was given in conjunction with the name of a swelled river at that time known as pufferfish that much.
