She also had a passion for journalism and started writing for various newspapers before becoming the editor of the feminist newspaper La Fronde in 1896. As a result of her activism and political stance, she became a prominent figure in the Republican women’s movement. She was eventually elected to the Legislative House in 1906- In addition to her activism, she was a strong advocate for women’s suffrage and wrote extensively about the need for women’s rights and their place in society.
