Stock Photo - Oct. 10, 1965 - Police See Mother of Boy Who Disappeared Two Years Ago. Mrs. Sheila Kilbride, 32-year old mother of a boy who vanished nearly two years ago, was shown a shoe found near a body discovered in a Pennines grave. She said: 'I feel sure the shoe is John's.' It was a black chisel toe shoe of the kind her 12-year old son, John Kilbride, was wearing when he went to see an afternoon film show on November 23, 1963. He vanished. Mrs. Kilbride said it was definitely the kind of shoe Kohn was wearing when he vanished. Police searched for John, but no trace of him was ever found. Then a body was discovered in the West Riding of Yorkshire. Articles of clothing were also found. Tests were still being carried out to identify the body and to discover the cause of death.
