Stock Photo - Odensnäs, also known as Skrivargården, is a residential building about 2 km south of the station community Ängelsberg on the eastern shore of Lake Åmänningen. It was built from 1891 to 1892 for the mill owner Gustaf Thorell after drawings by the architect Isak Gustaf Clason. The name Odensnäs first appears in 1865 in business correspondence and in connection with Engelsberg´s mill going bankrupt, the farm ended up in C E Westling´s ownership. The daughter Anna married Gustav Thorell. The Westling family has played a significant role in the history of the mill. Historically, Odensnäs has owned a farm as well as a large kitchen garden.
