With Pepper, research is oriented to its autobiographical memory and interactions with humans. The robot is taught to access its memories and give them meaning. The clinical application desired is the accompaniment of elderly people and social interaction around past, shared experiences. Tests carried out follow an established protocol: initial contact between the elderly person and the robot thanks to a pre-programed dialog created by the person£s friends and family, a way of starting the relationship. Next comes the interaction, then the appraisal, a dialog between the robot and human on the time spent together. This work was presented at the Lisbon Congress in August 2017. Pepper and Madeleine, a test human, interacting and communicating.
