Stock Photo - Sehel island in the Nile River just north of Aswan was sacred to the goddess Anukis and her husband Khnum. There are many carved inscriptions dating from the Middle Kingdom,with images of pharaohs and gods,and hieroglyphics on the rocks of the island.
