There was none of the uncomradely scenes of last month when the came Chinese diplomats wielded axes. Last night they handled nothing sharper then a cocktail glass. For two hours about 150 guests drunk and talked with the Chinese diplomats at a reception to mark the 18th anniversary of the Chinese Communist revolution. Police surrounded the legation in case of trouble, but none was needed and it was all handshakes by the Chinese as the guests left.
