Stock Photo - Tom Winner, of Darlinghurst, holding the spear gun and spear with which he accidentally shot his wife yesterday. The gun fired and the barbed spear penetrated a door before embedding itself in his wife's leg. Winner hacked away part of the spear while a doctor gave Mrs. Winner a pain-killing drug. Later doctors at St. Vincent's Hospital removed the rest of the spear. Mrs. Winner today is recovering at home. August 06, 1954.
