Stock Video - PAN. CU. Daylight. The Arch was erected in 203 AD in honor of Septimius Severus and his sons Caracalla and Geta. The spandrels of the central arch are decorated by reliefs of the goddess Victoria carrying trophies. The relief panels at the top depict various stages of the war between the Romans and the Parthians. The inscription originally mentioned both the emperor and his two sons, but Geta´s name was removed after he had been killed by Caracalla.
