Biography

My goal as a photographer is to capture the essence of all the beautiful and inspiring places I have the privilege to visit on this planet. If I can convey some of the sense of place and mood I experienced, then I believe I have been successful. I hope that this will also help inspire people to both enjoy and preserve our many wonders in this world.

Any special artistic influences?
The great landscape masters: Ansel Adams and Edward Weston, as well as more modern artists such as Jack Dykinga, David Muench and Ernst Haas.
What is the best photographic advice that you have ever received?
Two actually: the classic landscape composition technique of foreground, middleground, background, and the advice to extract from a complex subject what really moves me about the scene.
