Biography

I am a veteran travel writer/photographer who develops travel books, ebooks, apps, articles, and photos. My work can be seen at www.fostertravel.com.

I am new to Age, but plan gradually to upload thousands of travel images from my 200 worldwide destinations.

The natural beauty and cultural richness of Northern California and the US West inspire me.

What is the best photographic advice that you have ever received?

Taking the photo in the field is a first step. Then the photo must be placed successfully is a structure where the consumer will see it. Only then is the process complete.

If you weren’t a photographer, what would you be?

I would be a writer. My 10 books can be seen on the right side of the page at www.fostertravel.com. My most recent literary book is Travels in an American Imagination (2005).
