Vídeo Clip - PAN and TILT down, LA, CU, Interior, Renaissance_style rib vaulted and coffered ceiling. The monastery was founded by the Catholic Monarchs in Santa Fe in 1492, but was transferred ca. 1496 to Granada, first to another location and then to its present location in Calle Gran Capitan. The work was directed by Jacobo Florentino, El Indaco, and on his death in 1526, by Diego de Siloe. The building has a late_Gothic design with Renaissance elements. Diego de Siloe had to undertake the vaulting of the choir and the crossing of the church. In the dome above the transept his design included four tapered arches stretching from four conchoidal pendentives to support a star_ribbed vault. The vault features a full iconographic program with representations of Christ, the Apostles, saints and angels on the chancel.
