The former railroad bridge between the Brandenburg municipality of Oderaue (Oderbruch) and the Polish Siekierki of the West Pomeranian town of Cedynia was opened on the same day for pedestrians and cyclists. Cars cannot use this connection. The Europabrücke creates another possibility to cross the Oder River besides the one between Hohenwutzen and Osinow Dolny and the ferry connection between Gozdowice and Güstebieser Loose.
