Foto de stock - firo: October 19, 2021, Nature: Land and People Hohwacht / Baltic Sea From the front desk of a holiday home in Hohwacht on the edge of a nature reserve, these pictures were taken of an attack by Krv§hen / ravens on sometimes up to three sea eagles at the ‚Ã „û Sehlendorfer nature reserve Inland Sea‚Ã „ú. Territorial warfare, ornithology, ornithologist, eagle When corvids chase a bird of prey, then the sympathies are clearly distributed: the bird of prey is the good one, the corvids are the beasts. But birds of prey are not chased away without good reason: Corvids drive a potential enemy out of the territory in order to protect themselves and to defend their young. Corvids are devoted parents and they take great care of their offspring. What would be considered parental love in other animals is charged to the corvids as malice. The attacks by corvids are at most negligible for the birds of prey, they have no impact on the populations: the populations of most birds of prey have been increasing since the 1990s.
