Hundreds of people gathered to pay their respects to the dead of the two world wars and other conflicts at the annual Remembrance Sunday ceremony at the foot of Aberystwyth´s iconic war memorial on the headland jutting out into the sea. . . Both red and white poppy wreaths were laid during the ceremony, by the representatives of the British Legion, the town council and the local Peace and Justice Network. . . After the ceremony all the wreathes were gathered upon for safe keeping ahead of gale force winds which are forecast to hit the west coast later today and tomorrow. .
