The festivities usually start with the traditional gathering of family and friends to celebrate with colorful lanterns, mooncakes, and food. Games such as Lion and Dragon dances, paper lantern decorations, Chinese calligraphy, and mooncake tasting are often held to mark the occasion. People from all generations would congregate and enjoy the grand festivities, the delicious food, and the dazzling array of beautiful lanterns that decorate the town during the Mid-Autumn Mooncake Festival.
