The Ria de Vigo is a wide estuary located in the north-west of Spain and is part of the province of Pontevedra in the region of Galicia. It is a popular tourist destination for its unique seascapes and picturesque landscapes. On the east side of the Ria de Vigo, the Castillo de O Castro stands tall, a example of medieval military architecture, built by Galician master builder Fernán Pérez de Andrade between the centuries 12 and 14. The whole area is surrounded by lush green parks and gardens, with the most iconic being the Parque Monte do Castro, located in the municipality of Moaña in the comarca of Morrazo. In the background you can see the mejilloneras, fishing vessels that practice mussel farming.
