She and 38-year-old Spassky wanted to marry to marry in Grenble on September 15th, but Spassky says he is being refused permission to travel abroad. The authorities have said they may marry in Moscow in Moscow on November but they have ordered Marina to leave by September 30. She is afraid they will not let her back into Russia for the wedding, spassky was divorced this year for his previous wife, Larissa, He met Marina, a secretary at the commercial office of the French Embassy, last November, now her embassy, bowing to Soviet pressure, is ending her contract two years ahead of schedule. In a plea to the authrities, Spassky has cited th agreement at the recent Helsinki Summit that Nations would 'look favoura upon marriages between people of different nationalities.
