Foto de stock - 02 March 2021, Hessen, Frankfurt/Main: Today's Fritz Bauer Hall in the Frankfurt Justice Building commemorates the Hessian Attorney General Fritz Bauer, who had his office here. It was not only Frankfurt's city centre that lay in ruins when the Frankfurt Higher Regional Court (OLG) and the Office of the Public Prosecutor General were reestablished on 8 March 1946. The judiciary in particular was faced with the ruins of a country that had become the ""land of judges and executioners"" during National Socialism. To this day, the name Fritz Bauer in particular stands for the new beginning of the judiciary and the coming to terms with past injustice.
