The first weekend in May has become a fixed date for many art lovers over the past few years. On May 06 and 07, 2023, artists will again open their studios in Brandenburg's counties and independent cities. Those who like can discover painting, graphics and book art directly at the place of origin, can look over the shoulder of sculptors and ceramic artists, learn to understand printing techniques and in some places even get the opportunity to become creatively active themselves. According to the Brandenburg Ministry of Culture, more than 1000 artists are participating for the first time. Undine Gomille has been making unique pieces for the garden out of clay since 2005. After molding, the individual pieces are painted with colored glaze and fired at 1200 degrees Celsius in a special electric kiln. Even seats and backrests for garden chairs are created from clay and are an eye-catcher for any garden. Photo: Patrick Pleul/dpa. - Sieversdorf/Brandenburg/Germany
