The painter had erected the wagon as his summer domicile and then built his living quarters and studio. On the occasion of the 125th birthday of the painter on 11 May 2021, an exhibition of his works from the late creative phase will be shown. The painter Otto Niemeyer, born in Kiel in 1896, settled on Usedom in 1933 and found his motifs there. His estate is now a museum.
