The church was built in the process of evangelization of indigenous peoples and bears the name St. Francis. At the entrance of the church there is a picture of Saint Francis during the evangelization of three indigenous people. Now the church is led by Jesuits. During the renovation ritual, known as ""Wasichakuy"", villagers renew the thatched roof. The ritual takes place every four years and lasts seven days.
