Foto de stock - 12 August 2019, Peru, Marcapanta: On the area of a church reed piles are laid ready. Villagers will use it to renovate the roof of an 18th century Jesuit church. The church was built in the process of evangelization of indigenous peoples and bears the name St. Francis. At the entrance of the church there is a picture of Saint Francis during the evangelization of three indigenous people. Now the church is led by Jesuits. During the renovation ritual, known as ""Wasichakuy"", villagers renew the thatched roof. The ritual takes place every four years and lasts seven days.
