Foto de stock - 14 March 2019, Saxony, Leipzig: Thomas Kurz, typesetter and employee of the Museum für Druckkunst Leipzig, prints on a letterpress from 1906. The rooms of the historic printing workshop breathe 500 years of printing history with about 100 functioning machines and presses for historical casting, typesetting and printing techniques. On Friday (15.03.2019), the museum will participate in the first nationwide Print Art Day and offer a colourful programme. On 15 March last year, the artistic printing techniques were included in the German Unesco Commission's nationwide list of Intangible Cultural Heritage. The first anniversary is now the occasion to draw attention to the cultural significance of the art of printing with a multitude of activities throughout Germany.
