The free-standing bell tower (Campanile) of the church with its cast-iron construction is very dilapidated. After the renovation of the church roofs and the restoration of the apse mosaic last year, the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation Berlin-Brandenburg (SPSG) can now begin the restoration of the building thanks to private commitment. A nationwide fundraising campaign for the missing funds is being launched together with the Deutsche Stiftung Denkmalschutz and the Bauverein der Friedenskirchgemeinde.
