The Railroad Experience Landscape project includes the construction of a new wagon shed and operating workshop as well as a water tower for operating the steam locomotives according to historical models. The project of the railroad experience landscape has a total investment volume of over 40 million euros. It is being implemented by the district of Vorpommern-Rügen together with Eisenbahn-Bau- und Betriebsgesellschaft Preßnitztalbahn mbH, and is co-financed both by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund and with regionalization funds from the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
