Because of the Corona pandemic, this year visitors are only allowed to sit on chairs in order to maintain the minimum distance. Only 500 out of 1200 seats will be offered. The first concert took place on 23 May 1964 as a cultural event of the Institute of Forest Sciences in Eberswalde. In the meantime, the Chorin Music Summer has become a permanent fixture in Brandenburg's cultural and concert landscape, attracting some 25,000 guests annually. On the programme of this year's festival from 26 June to 29 August under the motto ""Europe"" are 18 varied concerts, among others with the Chamber Orchestra of the National Theatre Prague, the Philharmonic Orchestra Poznan and the Brandenburg State Orchestra Frankfurt (Oder).
