Foto de stock - The Karlovy Vary Region, west Bohemia, which is extremely affected with COVID-19, has received 15,000 vaccine doses donated from Germany and Czechia added 1,800 doses from its reserves, regional spokeswoman Jana Pavlikova told CTK today. It is a gift, therefore Czechia does not need to return the equivalent amount once it has enough vaccine, the Saxony Health Ministry told CTK. The vaccine will be distributed evenly to all the three districts within the region. ""The total 5,600 vaccine doses from the AstraZeneca pharmaceutical firm have been delivered to the Karlovy Vary hospital. Now, the same supply is on its way to the hospitals in Sokolov and Cheb,"" she said in the morning. The Sokolov hospital received the vaccine this noon, on Tuesday, March 2nd, 2021, and starts using it (photo) in the afternoon. Medical director Andrej Farkas said 250 teachers and 150 elderly people over 70 might be vaccinated a day. (CTK Photo/Slavomir Kubes)
