The ZALF is responsible for the evaluation of data gathered through ongoing digitalization under the slogan ""Agriculture 4.0"". They make valuable the large amounts of data from the climate chambers, the laboratories and research stations. The interconnect the data for new results and research possibilities. The 22nd of June 2017 saw a large festive ceremony take place in honour of the 25th jubilee of the ZALF. On the 25th of June an open day will take place for the general public.
