The lady, who lives in France, tried for 30 years to gain access to her grandfather's photo archive together with the Jewish Community and the Stadtgeschichtliches Museum. In 1987, a large and comprehensive collection of glass plate negatives from the Abram Mittelmann photo studio was found in an attic. The finder has now handed them over to the archive Bürgerbewegung Leipzig. The thousands of photos on 1,937 glass plate negatives show mainly portraits of Jewish and non-Jewish Leipzig people from the 1930s until the pogrom night in 1938.
