Foto de stock - PRODUCTION - 23 November 2023, Saxony-Anhalt, Dessau-Roßlau: Employees of the construction company Koba pile up wet clay with straw in a 50:50 ratio to form a wall on the company premises in Dessau-Roßlau. Pipes laid in the wall heat the wall from the inside with water heated to around 30 degrees. The wall heating shortens the drying time to around two to three months. The heating pipes are pulled out after drying and reused; this technology is new. The company is a partner of the ""WIR! alliance GOLEHM"", which was founded in 2020 and is funded by the federal government. The research project with the acronym ""GOLEHM5-Prototyp-Wellerlehmbau"", which is experimentally investigating the thermal drying acceleration of Wellerlehm wall modules, started in May and will run until April 2024.
