Foto de stock - Reunited With Dad Nine years after his dad’s death, Alan Dobson found his old man’s ashes on a shelf at a funeral home in Gloucestershire. A team Leader for local drug and alcohol services We Are With You in Bournemouth, England, Alan - a recovering alcohol and drug user, celebrating 18 years of sobriety – thought the remains had been scattered in the garden of remembrance at L.W. Clutterbuck Independent Family Funeral Directors in Dursley, but four weeks ago, bosses reached out to him to ask what he wanted them to do with the ashes. For reasons unclear, Jack Dobson had been left on the shelf! Alan was estranged from his father at the height of his addiction issues, but as part of his amends list when clean, he sought out his father 16 years ago and found him in The Rose public house in Cainscross, Stroud. They ended the family stand-off and renewed their relationship up until Jack’s death in April, 2012. Alan and his wife of 14 years, Michelle, have now scattered the ashes at Kimmeridge, near Bournemouth.
