Biografía

James Kirkikis is an internationally published photographer based in the New York City metropolitan area. Jim has traveled extensively throughout the USA, capturing the beauty of this diverse and wonderful land. From the majesty of the National Parks to the energy of our largest cities to the small towns that dot the landscape, Jim focuses to show North America from a new perspective.

Any special artistic influences?
My biggest influences are Bob Krist and Galen Rowell. I admire Krist's ability to capture the personality of a location. I look to Rowell to seek newer angles and views.
What is the best photographic advice that you have ever received?
The best advice came from a hockey player. Wayne Gretzky said you will miss 100% of the shots you do not take. Get out of the house, get out of the car and take photos!
If you weren’t a photographer, what would you be?
An insurance broker. Really.
