One of the oldest churches in Segovia, it was built on top of a Visigoth temple. Its name, meaning Saint John of the Knights, comes from the fact that it was a meeting place for for Segovian nobility, and many of its members were buried here. In 1905 it was acquired and restored by the ceramicist Daniel Zuloaga, who used it as his residence and workshop, later transforming it into a family museum containing ceramics collections and a documentary archive.
