Biographie

I'm a freelance commercial and editorial photographer specializing in what I call the ingredients of life — the places we go, the culture we live in and the universal language, food. I love the technical, logistic and artistic challenges that location photography presents.

I have a passion for photographing and writing about the extraordinary people, places, culture and history of Texas.

Any special artistic influences?

My design background really plays a role in how I see photography. I'm always thinking of the end use, whether it's for print or web.

What is the best photographic advice that you have ever received?

Never give up trying to get your foot in the door. The ones who don't give up are the one's who eventually succeed.

If you weren’t a photographer, what would you be?

I was a graphic/web designer before I moved into commercial and editorial photography. So it's safe to say that's what I'd be, if not a photographer.
