Biographie

A photojournalist since 1985, I have lived and worked in India, Turkey and Madagascar, but have been based in Aix-en-Provence, France, since 1999. My current interests include editorial, travel and documentary photography, architecture and interiors, and wildlife images.

I have published several books including 'Monasteries of Greece', described by Reference Reviews as "one of the year's top titles", and contributed to the 'Geographical Magazine' for over 20 years.

The work of Ansel Adams, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Doisneau, Mario Giacomelli and Martin Parr.
What is the best photographic advice that you have ever received?
Cartier-Bresson's 'decisive moment' is a good starter.
If you weren’t a photographer, what would you be?
An architect. I would have liked the chance to design some of the buildings I enjoy photographing!
