Preparing your Images

  • Image Specifications:
  • If you are a new photographer, you should send an initial selection of about 50-100 photos to help us to assess your imagery. The photos should be representative of your work and available for us to license.
  • Make sure your images are properly oriented; when photographers send vertical images with a horizontal orientation they will not be edited.
  • Make sure that the images have proper contrast and bright colors.
  • If you work with a Mac, make sure that you load your files in a PC Format.
  • Do not send us a small amount of photos every day. Accumulate photos and send them all together on a weekly or monthly basis.
  • If you are an Exclusive Photographer, we are willing to keywording your images, but you must always send your images with caption. Most images are worthless without that vital information, which only you can give.
  • Remember, if you are a non-exclusive photographer, your images must have captions and at least 10 keywords in English embedded in the IPTC of every image or they will be automatically rejected by our system.
  • We require that all photographers provide the necessary authorizations of any identifiable persons appearing in their images. All releases must be clearly labelled with the code of the corresponding photograph or with a description that allows us to match the release with the relevant images. You can find complete legal information in Legal Matters.

Preparing your Videos

  • Video Specifications:

    * There are many software conversion tools available for converting clips (format and codec). We recommend MPEG Streamclip, which is free and works for both the Mac and PC platforms. You can download this tool at:

  • If you are a new video contributor, you should send an initial selection of 5-10 video clips to help us assess your video material and to confirm compatibility with our system. The clips should be representative of your work and available for us to license.
  • Videos that are destined for use in TV should be filmed horizontally. However, in other mediums such as internet, vertical videos can be used, so we will accept them. Please, keep in mind that the standard orientation is horizontal.
  • Avoid excessive post-processing of the color or other characteristics of your clips so that the client will have more options available if they need to adjust the clip’s appearance.
  • Releases: You must send us model releases for all identifiable people appearing in your clip. You should also send property releases, when necessary.
Those releases should be sent within the same folder as your videos, saved in JPG format, and entitled with the same filename as the video, including _MR o _PR at the end of the name to denote if a model or a property release:For example:
  • Metadata: Clips should have keywords and description information. This metadata must be incorporated in an excel file (.xls). You must fill in this excel file according to our requirements which are detailed in our SUBMISSIONS MANUAL.

Preparing your Vectors

  • Vector Specifications:
  • If you are a new contributor, you should send an initial selection of 50-100 vectors to help us assess your material and to confirm compatibility with our system. The vectors should be representative of your work and available for us to license.
  • Metadata: Information regarding the description and keywords will be incorporated into these vectors from your photographer area after the edition. The vectors must have a minimum 10 keywords besides the caption.

Sending your Images, Videos or Vectors by FTP

The FTP is a fast, cheap and efficient way to send us your images, videos or vectors.

  • If you are already an agefotostock photographer, you will find the images, videos and vectors folders already created within your FTP folder. There will be a folder for each license type (RM, RF or LBRF), so you just need to copy your files to the appropriate folder.
  • If you are new, and would like to send your photo, video or vector material, please contact Raquel Gisbert for more details and FTP access.
