Biografía

During my life as a photographer beside my life as humanist I passed through different stages of photography: photography in the city, when living in Paris, photography of my home country of Bavaria, as part of a struggle against environmental degradation, travel photography in Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America off the beaten tracks and all over my life wildlife photography to pay homage to the beauty of animals.

Any special artistic influences?
As I have studied literature on university, I was more influenced by words than by images.It was always my objective to make images which are suitable for a harmonic synthesis with literary speech.
What is the best photographic advice that you have ever received?
Never to compare my images with those of other photographers. To imitate any style of other photographers prevents me finding my own way.
If you weren’t a photographer, what would you be?
Sure, that I would work professionally for nature conservancy. And I would like to write books or to write for a newspaper.
