Biografía

I am a Catalan photographer and biologist, working initially in taking insect pictures but later extending my interests to all of the natural world, and even travel photography.

¿Qué influencias artísticas hay en tu trabajo?
I do not really see my work as art, but that's a long discussion! As a biologist I am primarily interested in image truthfulness, just telling stories with photographs. However it is obvious than even in documentary work, images are different depending on the photographer who made them, because our style and feelings contribute to our picture taking. In this sense I am interested by minimalism and Japanese illustration.
¿Cuál ha sido el mejor consejo fotográfico que has recibido?
As a self-taught photographer I did not get a lot of advice, but I will think on that, maybe I'll remember something :-)

I am very happy that I am working at present in my two main interests in life, photography and entomology. What else can I ask?
