The capsule reentered the earth´s atmosphere at 8300 miles per second and splashed down 37 minutes after launch from Pad 34, Cape Canaveral, Florida. This was the first launch of the Saturn IB vehicle and the first flight of the Command and Service Module CSM_009, a suborbital test on February 26, 1966.
