Stock Photo - St. Thomas, Nevada - The pioneer town of St. Thomas was submerged under more than 50 feet of water in 1938 after Lake Mead filled behind the newly-built Hoover Dam. More recently, drought in the American west has dramatically lowered the level of Lake Mead, exposing the foundations of many of the town's buildings. Two tourists look over the site of the town.
