The natural rock near the village of Rothstein consists of Grauwacke and has been protected as a natural monument since 1915. According to the Berlin-Brandenburg climbing and bouldering guide, 30 climbing routes of difficulty levels 1 to 8 (UIAA) lead to the summit of the approximately 15-metre-high rock, which are partially secured with bolts on vertical and overhanging walls.
