Photo de stock - 04 February 2022, Saxony, Frankenberg: The Barkas V901/2, also known as Framo, is on display in the ""Zeitwerkstadt"" museum. Here, the history of the multi-talent with two-stroke engine is illuminated in a show. In March 1962, the ""fast transporter"" was presented to the world public at the Leipzig Spring Fair. A total of 175,740 Barkas were produced, as minibuses, with flatbeds, as ambulances or fire engines. A lack of investment in successors broke the company's back at the latest at the time of reunification. On April 10, 1991, production in Hainichen was discontinued.
