Müller, director of the Museum Viadrina, stands in the new exhibition ""Shiny things for tea connoisseurs"" - the German Brass Museum Krefeld as a guest in Frankfurt (Oder). The new special exhibition will open on 24.11.2022 and run until 09.04.2023. The exhibits come from the German Brass Museum Krefeld. From luxury food to cult drink: the shiny brass objects reflect 300 years of tea enjoyment. Ever since the hot beverage became common in Europe, new equipment was needed to prepare and enjoy the precious luxury drink. These objects show the different tea ceremonies that were common along the North and Baltic Sea coasts. The preparation, cooking and enjoying of this expensive luxury drink of the time is illustrated: boiling the tea leaves in hot water and straining the tea leaves until the tea is enjoyed.
