Abu Walaa, suspected leader of the terrorist militia Islamic State (IS) in Germany, and four other suspected Islamists have to stand trial before the court. The Federal Prosecutor's Office has brought charges against the men because they are alleged to have recruited volunteers for the IS. They are accused of support of or membership in a foreign terrorist organisation. Abu Walaa was Imam of the mosque of the meanwhile forbidden association German Islam Circle Hildesheim. On Tuesday, for the first time since the start of the trial about two and a half years ago, one of the accused, a Turkish travel agency owner, wants to admit to the accusations.
