Photo de stock - 03 November 2021, Saxony, Freiberg: An employee of Schachtbau Nordhausen welding on the new guide frame for the winding tower at the Reiche Zeche research and training mine of the TU Bergakademie in Freiberg. The guide frame weighs 56 tonnes and is lifted into place by three cranes. Apart from a few technical changes, the completely new scaffolding is similar to the old predecessor construction. The refurbishment of the headframe marks the start of a large number of other construction measures that will be carried out over the next few years. These include the modernisation of the entire shaft hoisting system as well as measures to improve the underground ventilation and infrastructure. The refurbishment is intended not only to ensure the long-term technical safety of the mine at the Reiche Zeche, but also to strengthen the modern research facilities and the associated visitor operations in the long term.
