The German Division Marienborn Memorial is participating in the nationwide Open Monument Day. The site offers guests insight into what was once the largest inner-German border crossing during public tours and special guided tours. Built in 1974, the impressive site has been a listed building since 1990. This means that the historic buildings have been preserved in their original state and restored under expert supervision. Guests can smell the GDR linoleum to this day, examine the floral wallpaper in former office rooms and take in the enormous dimensions of the site.
