It is a medieval goldsmith's work from the early 14th century. In the turmoil after the end of the Second World War, it came from Naugard/Nowogard in 1945, first to Grimmen and later to the consistory of the newly formed Pomeranian Evangelical Church in Greifswald, and was long forgotten. The Evangelical Lutheran Church of the North made the valuable exhibit available to the museum on permanent loan. Photo: Stefan Sauer/dpa/ZB. - Greifswald/Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania/Germany
