Until the dissolution of the KGB in 1991, thousands of men and women were held here in the center of the Soviet ""Military City No. 7"". In the first post-war decade, Germans were also imprisoned, later exclusively Soviet military personnel and civilians. In the former central remand prison of the Soviet military espionage defense, a permanent exhibition of photographs, original objects and media stations provide an insight into everyday prison life. In interviews with contemporary witnesses, former inmates talk about their fates on video. A new feature of the memorial is a virtual 360-degree tour.
