Photo de stock - 27 January 2021, Saxony-Anhalt, Gardelegen: Winter bare trees tower around the Nikolai Church in the twilight of the night that has settled over the Hanseatic city. The church was built around 1200 as a Romanesque brick building and was first mentioned in a document as a parish church in 1306. In the following centuries, the Romanesque building was extended in the Gothic style. On 15 March 1945 the church was destroyed in a bombing raid. At that time it was architecturally considered a three-nave, four-bay brick hall church with ribbed vaults. Photo: Klaus-Dietmar Gabbert/dpa-Zentralbild/ZB. - Gardelegen/Saxony-Anhalt/Germany
