Photo de stock - PRODUCTION - 21 November 2023, Saxony, Oschatz: In the town and scales museum, the director Dana Bach is showing sugar cones from the 1930s in a special exhibition. The sugar cones from a paper goods factory in Oschatz also featured rabbits and spring flowers, as this was the time when school started at Easter. In addition to historical paper products, the exhibition, which runs until the end of January 2024, also features unusual Christmas figures made of absorbent cotton, cardboard and natural materials from a manufacturer of dummies and Christmas tree decorations from the period 1888-1958. The Christmas figures made of non-flammable absorbent cotton were particularly popular, decorating Christmas parlors not only in East Germany but also overseas.
